Glossary · Understanding pages: readability
Structured data (schema.org, JSON-LD)
Machine-readable facts in your page code, such as a product's name, price and stock, written in the shared schema.org vocabulary, usually as JSON-LD. Agents can read it without guessing. See product data AI shopping agents can read.
Why it matters
Structured data is how agents read your prices, stock and product details without guessing. In our study of 255 online stores, 63% gave price, currency and availability this way, and 19% had no usable product data at all. When agents can read these facts reliably, they can compare you fairly and quote shoppers the right price.
