On WordPress without a CDN in front, our plugin records every request WordPress serves and sends them to us once a minute. Pages served from a page cache or a CDN never reach WordPress, so if your site is behind Cloudflare or another CDN, connect that instead for full coverage.

What you need

  • Permission to install plugins on the WordPress site
  • A Ghost Agent Lab site, which gives you its private ingest URL

How to connect it

  1. In Ghost Agent Lab, add your site, open Settings → Data sources → WordPress plugin, download the plugin and copy the ingest URL.
  2. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the zip, and activate it.
  3. Open Settings → Ghost Agent Lab, paste the ingest URL, and save. The Data sources page shows “Receiving events” as soon as the first logs arrive.

Privacy: IP addresses are hashed on arrival and query strings are dropped. People are counted, never stored. Keep the ingest URL private; you can replace it in Settings at any time.
