Agent readiness on Webflow

Webflow publishes pages as HTML with the content in them, which is a good start: AI agents read it without running JavaScript. What's left is mostly in your site settings and the custom code you add.

Checked against Webflow's documentation on October 26, 2026.

What the platform handles

  • Hosting, speed and the CDN
  • Pages published as HTML, with content in the page
  • A sitemap, linked from robots.txt by default

What you control

  • robots.txt rules and AI crawler settings, in Site settings
  • Structured data, added as custom code
  • Forms, CAPTCHAs and pop-ups
  • Webflow Ecommerce checkout settings, if you sell

What to check

robots.txt and AI crawlers

Check this

Rules live in Site settings › SEO › Indexing, alongside a Content-Signal setting that says how your content may be used for AI training, search and answers. Check that AI assistants and AI search crawlers are allowed, whatever you choose for training crawlers.

Content without JavaScript

Usually fine

Webflow pages carry their content in the HTML. Interactions, tabs and sliders run on JavaScript, so check content inside them is in the page too, not loaded later.

llms.txt

Check this

We couldn't find a documented Webflow setting for llms.txt. Check Webflow's current options for files at the root of your domain; it's a small bonus, not a must-have.
